BURSARY APPLICATION

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

WeWe ask students and parents to please follow the rules set out in the application form to assist in the timeous processing of applications. For the 2018 academic year, the application form has been redesigned to include financial information of the parents such as bank statements, payslips and even affidavits supporting unemployment claims…
 
We would like to remind students that bursaries are NOT automatically granted each year. All applicants, new and renewals need to apply every year for an application form. If a student does not apply for a renewal bursary, we will assume that the student no longer requires a bursary.

Application Problems

Below are some of the difficulties the Bursary Committee has faced in processing applications this year
Many applications were not properly and fully completed.
Most forms were submitted well after the deadline.
Forms were given by students to individual Associations members or other persons instead of being sent directly to the Secretary, as instructed on the form.
Non ‐ payment of the Administration fee
The file number given to a student is not used a reference number when communicating with the Association.

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.
